In the Beginning- Genesis

Okay DOTS, Get out your Bibles. Spend some time rereading Genesis 1. Yep, the entire chapter. Don't forget to pray before you begin reading. It is always good to ask the Holy Spirit to bless your heart and your mind so you may understand all that God would have you come to know.

We studied this together a while ago, but I think it is such a great place to return to. Look at the way God created the light, notice what was created on day 6, and pay close attention to what he did on the last day. This isn't just a story. It is a reminder of the God that we worship and why we worship him. This ONE chapter shows just how powerful, wise and loving God really is. We are reminded that He was before anything else ever existed. This concept is sometimes difficult to understand or realize, but it is the truth.

In the Comment Area write down any questions this chapter brought to your mind. Tell us which verses you liked the best and why you liked them. What do you think about God? Which day is your favorite?

Beginning thoughts. . .

We started the journey of this Bible study together over a year ago. We have discussed the beauty of being a young Christian woman, the amazing example of Ester, the truth behind Christ's birth, and answered many questions about God and the importance of loving him and his son. It has been a lot of fun and we have definitely grown as a group. So the question is. . .What have you learned? Be honest? How has this time together changed you? Where do you want to see us go from here?
